JT and Vforce are both brands of paintball masks. pero pwede rin at marami ang gumagamit for airsoft. halos the same lang ang itsura pero as i've noticed with my JT and my teammate Ronin's Vforce i think that my JT is much more cooler looking,hehehe. but that's just my opinion. also almost all of the JT masks from our team have double-layered or thermal lenses. this supposedly makes the lenses less prone to fogging. and also mas safe kasi double layered nga eh. i don't know if vforce has a thermal mask. another brand of paintball mask is Scott. ok rin,also available with thermal lens.

i have V-Force mask and used it for almost a year now. very reliable and offers full face protection... removable na rin ang ear-piece protector and forehead cover.... thankful ako sa mask na ito especially pag nag aassault (my game). im very confident knowing that my full face mask can protect and withstand high fps at very close range..

not everyone can afford to test their bnew masks, and find out that it's not sufficient, wasting their hard-earned money in the process.

it would probably be better if you choose tested/proven goggles/masks or wait for the suppliers/others who can afford to do such a risky test before you buy one.

for me though, even if a mask is proven or "tested" to be sufficient, i still have to make sure that it's really reliable in battle. for who knows,there might be a factory defect or a lemon out there somewhere that i happened to buy. i think it's better to test the mask personally. my hard earned money cannot be traded for my precious and priceless eyes. if my mask gets dented or cracked by my 500 fps aeg, then it doesn't deserve to be used in combat. that's my 2 cents...

Ako sensei mask gamit ko. Ok naman siguro yung mga masks they can afford protection basta wag ka lang babarilin sa mukha ng point blank. Sa min kasi mas priority sa min yung mga body shots rather than face shots kasi may mga padded vests kami & thats where we prefer shooting our opponents. :-)

i own a VFORCE PROVANTAGE mask..well i test it pointblack and yup youre right..basahan lang di mo na alam kung san mo tinamaan..but i think JT, VFORCE and SCOTT can withstand maximum of 800FPS...since it is USED in PAINTBALL which has a very large PELLET..and much heavier..and i remember malakas din ang paintball markers..some mga 500fps..and do the math..the HIGHER VELOCITY tpos malaki ung LOAD..diba matibay tlaga..:D

about sa mga shops na ngbebenta..well kahit dito sa FAS/ACMgames makakakita ka ng nagbebenta ng MASK..(kahit VFORCE, EXTREME RAGE, JT, SCOTT) bsta matiyaga ka lang maghanap at willing ka makipag meet o mag pa ship..by the way i got mine here in FAS..well i must say UP for all the sellers ng mga VFORCE, JT and the like..

may mga mask naman na pwede kang magsalamin..ako i also wear glasses but unfortunately i throw mine dahil sa inis na sa pag suot..anyway..i believe ung ibang VFORCE pwede..pwera ata sa akin ksi alang FOAM un..kahit ung SKULL mask pwede o JT pwede..advice na lang..ahmm..i ever na may makita ka na naka FACEMASK try to ask them to well sabihin mo baka pwede mahiram o matesting..para atleast alm mo na wat bibilhin mo..

lagyan mo lang ng fan ang mask mo. ok na yan. ang kailangan mo yung mga full face mask para malagyan ng fan.

pumili ka ng malapad na mask/goggles katulad ng mga pinakita dito. ndi pwede sa mga sansei/src mask kasi maliit ang space so ndi kakasya sa ibabaw ang blower/fan.

hanap ka ng mask na malayo space sa mata at ng mask para kasya ang fan/blower sa ibabaw. dapat papasok ang hangin ndi pahigop.

regarding san makakabili ng fan/blower na maliit, may mga nagbebentadyan, hanapin mo na lang sa for sale section.

I think the predator and optimus you are referring to are the ones that were made locally. it's a full face mask with a steel mesh screen. It's locally made, and I think it's posted in the classified ads.

As for its protective capability, I can only speculate. Maybe someone can shed some light on this.

by the way anung mask ba ang MALAPAD enough para magkasya sakin kasi malapad po mukha ko e... mga 6-7 inches ang lapad hehehe... from the end of one eye to the other...

oh, wait. correction: the ESS Land Ops is not a mask. These are goggles. I personally am using a Land Ops with a half face mask and an OR balaclava inside.

For those who are familiar with the Kontrol eyewear, it fits inside the Land Ops. Though I haven't tried using the Land Ops with the eyewear inside on a game yet.

Although tested na ang polycarb mask and googles, yung thickness ng material may have impact on eye focus in long use. Para pa rin syang lens in front of your eyes.

I agree sa safety first. So prefer ko is mesh mask. I can customize the wire mesh by replacing it with fine stainless mesh. With this, I believe ABS or plastic BBs can no longer penetrate. The only problem with wire mesh is yung fragments ng basag na BBs. But these fragments travel at lesser velocity. That's where the glasses next to wire mesh would work.

It's the reason why I ask kung pwede mag suot ng glasses inside this mesh mask.

sir, technically most airsoft shops sell balaclavas, of all sorts and sizes. If you want to get an Outdoor Research (OR) Balaclava, most airsoft shops have one available. If you wanna get a knitted-type balaclava, best buy is at quiapo though some airsoft shops have these available as well.

I suggest that you make your own research on what kind of balaclava you really need, should you ever need one. :)

Yes, There are paintball masks that are advertised in the internet as being able to withstand 300/350/400 fps. I think in the sport of paintball, muzzle velocity can vary from 300-400. But don't forget to take into consideration the weight of the paintball. So that's 300/350/400 fps @ X grams (the weight of the paintball.i think 3grams un.correct me if im wrong.)

with a little math using the weight of airsoft pellets .2g/.25g/.3 etc, you can compute the maximum theoretical FPS that the mask can withstand.

a friend of mine shot his VForce mask using a gun (620 fps @ .2g but used .3g instead) 1 meter away...not a dent. may maliit na scratch mark...pero parang smear lang, he rubbed it lang with a pranela...and viola! Good as new.

hi po mga sir newb lng po and im having some problems kc I'm wearing glasses and its hard for me to wear contacts so im afraid na baka pag nag lagay ako ng mask eh baka mag fog naman ung salamin q. so my question is meron po bang mask na pwede din mag salamin while using it?

sir much easier mgsuot ka ng mask/goggles na bulky para my space for your glasses. Pde rin po ung ordinary na mesh na bulky. Three of us siblings wear goggles and two of us wear it while wearing eyeglasses. Pwde mo naman i-try sa stores b4 you buy kung sak2 yung mask/goggles for your comfortability. Plus ask mo din kung pwdeng alisin yung plastic sa glass while your trying it out kase minsan may grado yung glass nung masks/goggles.

I use VForce now! And I can say its very durable and can stand 500 fps @ 8 feet range. After shooting, basahan lang katapat tpos tanggal ang gasgas. The performance of VForce Mask is worth more than the cost. And ang ganda ng design and fit sa ulo. In other words, comfortable mask.

The VForce mask has a polycarbonate lens that has been treated with a Thermo-Cured Anti-Fog and Anti-Scratch coating. A genuine VForce mask should be made in Canada, if not, more or less it is fake! So beware!

Tip in buying anti-fog mask : Before buying an anti-fog masks or googles, breathe on the inside surface of the lens. If it fogs-up, it means the anti-fog is FAKE.

Pero mag-toothbrush muna kayo bago nyo gawin tip ko, baka magalit sa inyo yung tindero. Joke lang mga sir.

Search mo Vforce Grill. The thermal version will cost around 90USD. Note that meron mga around 40 USD shipping + yung mga retailers papatong pa.. Im guessing around 5.5k+ for the thermal Grill. Yung Skul ko 570FPS on .25 kaya nya.. walang dent... yung teflon ng bb mahirap tangalin hehehe...

I grew up in an airsoft community and realized one thing, invest on your eye protection, it doesnt matter how expensive will it cost but your eyes are worth more than the cost of your eye protection. :icon_biggrin:

Buying JT mask or V-Force mask will be advisable, because of the fact that it was proven to hold upto 500 fps direct hit within 5 feet. Very good eye protection and also serves as a good face protection. Good deal and pretty worth it for the price. :icon_lol:

Value for money, nothing beats the good 'ol mesh face mask. mine is more than four years old and it is still doing its job. granted it's not kewl like ESS or JT but its does not fog with humidity.

Overall, you choose between the face mask, googles (but you will still need to protect half of your face) or the JT. :icon_biggrin:

IMHO, all eye and face protection already mentioned have their respective PROs and CONs. Mesh masks works well in a jungle set up, lalo na if the weather is damp. I tell you, no matter how expensive your goggles are not unless you take the extra effort of installing a fan, they will fog when humid. Though, low lighting condition lalo na sa CQB handicaps the Mesh compared to the clear goggle lens, and yes i agree that full face protection is better that goggles only, but as another thread states, it boils down to preference. :icon_wink:

Try nyo mga bro ang Airmask, made up of solid steel mesh, can withstand 600fps at pointblank range at very light ang construction. kung wala kang tiwala sa mesh. pwede mo siya isuot ng may light glasses sa loob (or prescription glass) personally tried one with a fallat strap sunglasses inside napaka comfortable nya isuot!:icon_cool::icon_wink::icon_smile:

One disadvantage of having these dents on your mask, chances are time will come that the paint on the dent will wear off and rust will start to come. If rusts begins to form, one more hit of a 400+ fps aeg will penetrate. Most airsoft accidents occur on these kinds of masks. Thats why I make it to a point that I wont rely my eyes safety on these types of mask. Its better to invest on my eye protection than to say sorry later. :icon_lol:

That image is misleading--it's a photo of a brand new unit. The one I own is second hand (distressed) unit from Armored Industries here in Cebu, so due to the fact that there are no spare/alternate lenses, cleaning kit etc. I was able to buy it for a lot cheaper price. Even though it was second hand, lenses are in excellent condition. I believe brand new ESS Profile usually cost between PHP 2.5-3.5k

Gud day Sir.

I just want to share with you my experiences with the Sykes Airsoft Mask:

I was one of several dozen who bought and used Sykes Mask here in Zamboanga and many have already discontinued using it due to the safety defects that we discovered in the mask. The goggles doesn’t sit perfectly on the mask, so much so that there are gaps on both sides of the nose bridge that can be possible entry points of BBs, indeed it has already proven true in at least two occasions that I know of. In the said two incidents, both airsofters injured (not permanently) an eye.

Also, the vents on the sides of the goggles easily fall off, and they usually fall off during games, which make them another possible entry points for the BBs, thus, injuries can and would probably occur via this defect as well.

Fortunately I discovered these defects in time and have made a mode (on the eye bags of the mask) and repairs (on the vents of the goggles) on my Sykes Mask, so I still use them, but only on MilSims and field games, not on Speedball scenarios, I’m still a bit reluctant to use them in close quarter battles. Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you and the others so they could make the repairs and modes too if they wish… after all, safety must always come first.

goggles won't fog during it's first few games.. after a while the horror starts.. there are ways to minimize fogging but the most effective way is putting a small fan inside the mask which serves as ventilation for the heat to come out..

im using a scott mask. the one with the removeable goggles (i also think its the most common mask out there for scott)

i think someone told me that its rated to withstand 450+ fps point blank.

so i tried it up to 550+fps and it still can take it. but thats up to what i tested. i'll try 600, but im not so sure about that haha

pero note lang, nag fofog siya but its not so bad. a few months ko na ginagamit ito. maybe my removing the top cap helped but im not sure about that too.

the one thing i hate though, is that i can not aim properly or it takes quite a few seconds for me to get my head into position when i use this. sagabal talaga yung bibig nung mask.

basically you could use the sensie mask over your glasses.. the area some goggles that have spaces for prescription glasses..

or try visiting your local airsoft shop so you could try on some masks and goggles w/c could fit your glasses..

next problem you could encounter would be the fogging of your glasses, the are some solutions being sold to help minimize fogging.. try looking around diving shops, i thing they sell some.. :icon_wink:

In my opinion talagang mas usefull ang sensei mask. I can say that it's very cheap around 600php below. Useful both in sniping and cqb just remeber na magalagay nlng ng googles sa loob ng mask...Ksi yung mga sensei mask mesh lng..

sirs, after playing for quite some time now, i am still looking for a full face mask that will suit me. i already tried scott (i have problems with aiming or it could just be me :icon_biggrin:), sensei (with polycarb glasses under), neoprene ( i have had friends who got banged really good in the face and left a mark) and now i am using skyes (i'm not that comfortable with it because i feel claustrophobic when i wear it) i have read about the airmask. anyone know where i could get one? i'm looking for a full face mask that will protect my ugly mug!i will be in the philippines this weekend. thanks in advance guys.

Well its better if you wear a protective sun glass with your mesh mask. Para safe ka from shattered bbs. Hinde mo kasi masasabe ang quality ng bbs na gamit ng kalaro mo. meron mga nababasag and it can pass thru the holes of your mesh mask. Mura lng naman un Ok na ung mga polycarbonate goggles sa hardware. Some goes for as low as 50 pesos. Wear this under your mesh mask.:icon_smile:

nasubukan ko na yung mesh full face mask using 450 fps point blank.though makikita mo yung tama sa mesh, good thing hindi sya nagpenetrate.

problema lng pag cheap BBs ang tumama dun pde sya pumasok coz cheap BBs tend to break apart

actually for me comfortable sya kasi hindi mahirap huminga and wlang fog.

Later on, you will definitely NEED to have mask and goggles. if you choose to wear "shades" don't forget to buy yourself a mouthpiece as well. This will protect your teeth when hit. mas magastos noh? hehehe.

I remember a team mate of mine... he only uses shades, no face protection. naratrat sya... pumasok yung BBs sa nose ripping the skin. Imagine that dude. Safety first!

But also be aware of the down side of just wearing "eye-glasses" type of protection, you're exposing a big portion of your face. With 500fps BBs hitting your bare face, I suggest get a whole full face protection.

The videos you might have seen were taken in areas where the max fps allowed is only around 350 to 380.

Play safe, use a full face protection bro.

Maybe he's just looking for ample protection from ricochets when you're sitting on the sidelines...which in this case ballistic glasses will be fine. Aside from your face, protect the ears too.
