mga sirs, paki tulungan nyo naman ako makakuha ng magandang sagot sa tanong ko.

I've noticed that most game sites don't allow BAR type of guns but most of them as well allow open FPS.

ano po ba ang reason why they don't allow BAR type of guns? is it because of safety reasons? d b ganun din naman ang risk of danger is we have open FPS which means pwede gumamit ng 550 or more fps na beng2x? or baka naman may iba pang reason.

thanks.

Perhaps game sites that ban BARs wish to give the impression that they are actually "doing something" to address the issue of high FPS guns.

It's all a marketing/PR strategy actually:
BAR = high fps (which is not without an ounce of truth)
high fps = bulag = bad for business
Solution: ban the BAR (only) and look good to the buying public.

It's a farce I know, per at least kunwari may ginawa sila. This way, they don't alienate the owners of other high fps guns and their wallets. Better for business to ban something and not everything.

Nothing like a convenient scapegoat, este scape-gun :D .

Banning bolt-action rifles and gas guns is a knee-jerk reaction to recent injury incidents involving such guns - game organizers issue a blanket restriction on BAR and gas airsoft in their games if only to appear safety conscious. The move is really more just an image/PR thing intended to attract players to their site and games.. especially so when open fps policy observed there anyway. They just don't know any better.

hmmm... actually, it's time for these sites to rethink their position on the supposed ban on BASRs... methinks, it just doesn't make sense when you allow an open FPS policy, yet frown upon BASRs.

personally, i'd rather get hit by a 500FPS BASR at optimum distance, than get peppered by a 400FPS AEG with a monster ROF at 10ft :D

It's enough to BAN converted unstable CO2 AirGuns (.177/.22/.25) in Airsoft Games.
I agree with the observation of Sir Tsarli and Sir Almighty that banning BASR's in open FPS Gamesites is purely PR purposes only.

If safety aspect is the number one consideration, game site administrators should impose FPS limits, at least there's a ceiling/cap on FPS in any particular site so players then would know what to expect.
It doesn't take a genius to know that MOST AEGs can equal any BASR in terms of FPS if modified well.
To all game site administrators, you CAN NOT manage what you DO NOT measure.
YES, Brahma is right in his comment, Site Admin should rethink this NO-BASR policy.
It is of prejudice, arbitrary and discriminatory.

Back to the topic,

madami kaseng iresponsible players kase e. either sa part ng naka gas riffles or mga non gas riffles. nag iingat lang na walang masaktan, mahirap na kase e. tska ussually kahit open fps ang site, diba my note about playing responsibly. pero in the end, the teams/organizers of the sites still have the final word so we have to comply
