hello sir's
this will be my first post here at the DIY corner first things first... sorry for the poor quality pics.. i only had my cam phone with me kasi..
materials to be used on this project
1. siltite glass sealant tube(complete parts)
2. sand paper
3. knife(no fancy tools were use on this project)
4.foam or hard foam
this is my own version of a diy working(somehow) supressor silencer(sorry i do not really know whats the right word to be used) and a sunshade
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0381A.jpg
i was only intrested on making a DIY scope sunshade for my tasco red dot scope
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0377A.jpg
but then theres this 5 inch tube i noticed to be of good use.
now lets start with the silencer/suppressor
heres the tube i used its from siltite glass sealant.. i saw this a while ago somewhere in our house.... eheheheh
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/DIYTUBE.jpg
the tube(sorry i was already able to cut it before i thought of posting it here).. so what did i did..
remove this part its inside the tube its purpose is to push the sealant oin top of the tube but now it will be of good use
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/DIYCAP-.jpg http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/DIYCP.jpg
1. shove off the tiny bits of plastic from the cutting process by sanding it
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/DIYsanding.jpg http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/DIYSAND.jpg
2. cut this part
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0366A.jpg
so it will be like this
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/DIYHOLE.jpg
3. enlarge the hole using a knife(y knife?) do this with care not to enlarge the hole so much... dapat naka lihis or slant ng konti ang knife
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0386A.jpg http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0385A.jpg
4. fit it to your muzzle to have the thread
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0380A.jpg
now here's the thread(ehehehehehe)
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0390A.jpg
the knife is use because we needed to have a thread at the hole like this
5. place the foam inside the tube(i prefer to use hard foam)
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/DIYFOAM.jpg
(opps sorry kinda short but am going to buy another tomorrow ehehehe)
6. now lets do the work on the cap thing.... dril a hole in it to make it look like this one
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/DIYCH-1.jpg
and place it at the other end of the tube(the open side)
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/DIYCAP.jpg
6. now heres the product a 5 inch suppressor/silencer
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/DIYA.jpg
from 4 inch to 5 inch
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0388A.jpg http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0384A.jpg
now lets go to the sunshade diy
1. ive cut 3 inch from the original lenght of the siltite glass sealant tube
2. and shaped it like this one
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0374A.jpg
using the knife
3. sanded the sharp edges to make a good match with the round profile of the red dot scope
4.fit it onto the scope
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0377A.jpg http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0378A.jpg
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0379A.jpg
sunshade.. from this to this
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0389A.jpg http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0382A.jpg
now let's put them together on my beloved "rhia"
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0391A.jpg http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/IMG0381A.jpg
as subtitute to the siltite tube ive use; you may use pvc pipes available in the hardware.. but siltite tube really does the job here you can find a empty tube at any glass and aluminum supply shop. they just throw this tube so i thought of recycling it look at the sign on the top of the tube on the lower right hand corner is a small triangle indicating the "please recycle sign"
http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv343/sygrene/DIYHOLE.jpg
sorry i wasn't able to paint it yet.. naubusan ako pintura ehh.. ehehehehehe
enjoy sirs... though i think this is the third diy on suppressor/silencer topic.... i just wanted to share what i was able to accomplish in not more than a hour... :icon_lol: two projects in one tube..... :icon_biggrin::icon_biggrin::icon_biggrin::icon_bi ggrin:
