i have this experience wherein im able to penetrate the position of opfors by just walking...walking like in a park.. w/ my gun not pointed not put up... looking like walking towards tha neutral zone and when a tango seez me they just ignore me or worse thing they fired on me,wherein i did experience a couple of times...at nahihit ako and acknowledge it, but since nung day 1 ko playing airsoft for 1 year ngayon lang ako nareklamo ng opfor... i fired on em kasi w/in 5 meters at nung nalingat siya..saka ku pinutukan ng single shot..and ayun niratrat ako..i did shouted at em..OISTT hit ka na ah!
and then he replies back...e akala ko hit ka na..and i replied but i did hit you 1st! ayun muntik na magkainitan..and he keeps on ranting thangs about it until nakarating sa game organizer at ako'y napagsabihan na bawal daw yun... pero para sa akin tactics lang yun para mapenetrate ko area ng opfor... mga sirs ok lang ba toh? o talagang bawal yung ganun?

at isa pa mga sir..e2...if panay newb kalaro ko at opfor sila i tend to make hand signals to them...parang panglito ba, one time i signaled him na lumapit and he did, lumapit nga...and i tap em immediately..sabi ko,pre hit ka na knifekill..kalaban ako and he replied back "ay ganun ba sir akala ko kasama ka kasi kinawayan mo ko" and i replied back "sige hit na rin ako" and we just exchange laugh at each other... yun lang fafis...

i notice the word "AKALA".....

well thats what we call veteran moves.i can honestly say that ive done the same thing esp on field games were in you can go around behind enemy lines.there was an incident years back at area51 or was it at last castle wer we passed by a group of players on the hit and neutral zone talking to each other and suddenly gave us a burst of fire.killing 5 of us on the spot.we asked if they wer hit b4 that and if not then why are they on the neutral zone talking to other players who's been hit earlier.

anyways, walking like your hit and your not(hit with your gun raised up) and then killing opfors is misleading the enemy with bad intentions.medyo bad trip na yun.a sign of a dishonest player...but if your walking without your gun raised up and is just misleading the enemy because your behind enemy lines ,for me is just good old military tactics.and besides getting killed from behind is not very easy to accept.but thats how the game works.kill or be killed...so as long as your not walking around pretending to be hit is ok...

Playing possum is accepted in airsoft. Its a form of tactical maneuver where everyone is forced to be in their toes.

As long as you did not say "hit" or raise your gun to signify you're out to mislead the other players before taking them out.

Only applicable to newbies who dont know the game well enough. Do that to a veteran and you'll find him pointing his gun at you and crying out "raise your gun if your out or I'll shoot!"

copy mga sir, we have this rule also na while your walking towards neutral zone is say "dead man walking right"?? to avoid any enemy fire when you are hit already right? point is im not saying dead man walking by that time so it means im a live or deployed... right?

What you do is still within the bounderies of the game rules and you are merely taking advantage of all possible options and there's nothing wrong with that apir!

two of us did that tactic last weekend. we were obviously out numbered and outflanked -2 against 15 opfors. since no arms bands were used, we change direction now pointing our guns along with them. we did not declare our selves as hit nor said a single word. they came up behind us thinking we are on the same team, generally sitting next to us . then finally after a couple of heart pounding minutes that any moment soon they would find out. We split up gently approached them, gently tapped their shoulders and whispered "hey, were not on the same team, --you're dead", and moved on to the next players so on and so forth.. The whole 15 opfors were all knife killed... and only realized it too late already.

Some of them were pissed off with us, but we played them fair and square. Some just smiled and smirked... On the sad note, one fault on their part is that the first few people we knife killed did not say "hit", so the person next to him did not realize it that they were all knife killed...

There was no dishonestly only deception changing their perception what we were friendlies -its a strategy and a tactic.. Nevertheless, it was a good day for us and kinda a not so good for them.. hehehhe

Sir tama lang ang ginawa ng mga unang na knife kill nyo, basic rule if you're knife killed is to stay put for five minutes and not say anything or do anything. This is done so as not to jeopardize the position of the player who knife killed you, after five minutes you stand up raise you're gun and walk quietly towards the neutral zone.

curious lang ako.... were you all told that playing possum is not allowed in that gamesite by the organizer BEFORE they let you play?

sometimes kasi, it's either the organizer did not inform the players of their own rules.... or the organizer did not know that there's such a thing as "playing possum"....

Heres my take

I despise you and all those who play like that, how disgusting how dishonorable. Its no fun to play with dishonorable people using dishonorable tactics.

There is such a thing like counter espionage, counter intel, but calling a newb then a knife killing tap. very very dishonorable, wheres the fun in that?

Emotional me talking, knowing that your that kind of a player, id shoot you kahit kakampi kita.

So in my book, ill give you a negative five rating or a level 6 evil rating. Sorry but I dont want to play with people like you.

Rules on "PLAYING pOSSUM" should be discussed before any game by the game organizers and marshalls.... whether to allow or disallow this particular tactic. Newbies will be pissed off and might end up being dishonest players. As veterans, seasoned players must play with integrity and be examples to newbies. But if all players are veterans....well that's a different matter....mahirap maisahan ang beterano...
