Or if I remember correctly, SP outsource the M16 gun base or parts from Escort and put in their engine on it. Unfortunately, SP just missed out many design considerations according to Mr. Tawada of Escort. But I'm sure that Escort bought the rest of the SP inventory and modified it with their new Blow Back Engine. Hence, offered them as Escort modified SPs. The same goes with Youth Engineering (YE) MP5s, they bought the old YE plant inventory (and also, the old JAC Mold I was told. which only justified the story why they were asked by SP to make the M16 base gun). But in fairness to SP, they opened up the rebirth of these "classics" that utilized AEG magazines. And yes, Escort is way better…from the design of their blow back engine, my gas guru said, it is now more gas efficient compared to the old school classic blow back system. My Escort MP5 got range as well due to its adjustable hop-up. I don’t have a chrono so I can’t accurately measure the fps at different psi level. But it punched the bottom of coke can. My guess….maybe 380~420 fps. I kept it below 150 psi as recommended. Mine comes with A-Spec Spring for increase fps and very high rate of fire. But mind you, if you want to order it according to country regulation or your preferred fps, it can be customized up to 500 fps but with extra cost. But for me, I’m happy with my MP5 as it is. Here a pic of Escort MP5 externally modified to Navy Flash Hider and Taclight handguard: Escort ![]() Escort on top. ![]() Both pics above by: -=Bloodred=- of Airsoftforum.com And by the way, Dens. The HK416 I posted is a VFC based gun and modified by Escort to accept their GBB engine. Last edited by stuka; September 7th, 2007 at 20:46. |

Ok, Dens. SInce you are still have to be convinced of its decent range hehehe Here you go: With all honestly, I have not accurately measure the range but I guess it is safe to say about ~150 ft. I have 2 reasons why I say that: One, because it still shoot straight from one telephone pole to the next. Which is 1 span in telecom lingo and by standard, pole intervals should be 150 ft. Second, because from a review at Arnie's on its predecessor, the Youth Engineering (YE) MP5 Gas Blow Back shoots ~320 fps out of the box at 110 psi with ROF of 900~950 rpm and was measured to accurately hit a ball target about a size of human torso at 90 feet EVERYTIME. As already mentioned, I estimated this Escort MP5 that comes with a A-spec stiffer spring (at cost) and our economical tweaking to shoot 380~420 fps. So there you go! Here to make you start making good excuses to your CO as well http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filn...mp5_review.htm Murag gikapoy na tingali ka maneuver, Dens dah. Kay murag concern na man kaayo ka sa range hahahaha kidding! Last edited by stuka; September 8th, 2007 at 01:26. Reason: Added ROF of YE MP5 |
