Re: shaving the 2nd tooth, any benefits?
Shaving the 2nd tooth is recommended especially on polycarb piston bodies with upgraded spring, high Rate-Of-Fire setup. the idea is to make the sector gear have a better engagement with the piston body by putting a spacer bet the piston head and body and at the same time avoiding the engagement of the sector gear's 1st tooth engaging with the the piston body's 2nd tooth on high speed setup. as a reference you can also shave one-half of the 3rd piston body tooth if your setup is 15 and above rps.

in guess you dont need spacers for metal teeth pb, but it is recommended for plastics or polycarbs, unless as you mentioned, sakto sya.

Re: shaving the 2nd tooth, any benefits?
when fixing the AoE, I shave the 1st tooth down and leave about 1/4th of the 3rd.
Just opened up my Gearbox to test the sorbo pads. I checked my piston (cheap clear element piston body, the one that comes free with their high speed gears). The piston looks brand new, no signs of wear due to the AoE mod - and this is after around 8000 rounds on a high speed set-up |

Re: shaving the 2nd tooth, any benefits?
since naka buka gb ng beng ko hehe gawa ako video nito para ma-gets nyo tlga bakit kailangan alisin yang pahamak at pasaway na 2nd tooth na yan at pati 3rd tooth sa mga really high rof set up hehe.
it's a simple diagnosis actually but it's way better for the noobs to see the actual diagnosis. will post the vid soon! http://www.airsoftadvance.com/Forums...8752#post68752 hmmmm.... well i do this as well if the 1st tooth of sector gear is hitting below the 1st tooth of the pb kung baga di tama yung meshing nya sa una palang.
